I will be holding this Workshop at Yurara Art Society's Studio Rooms in Thornlands Qld. on two following Saturdays. Commencing on Saturday August 24th from 9am to 4pm and also on the following Saturday (same times) 31st August.
There will be an opportunity to draw and paint from a reclining model dressed in Arabesque style costume with surrounding still life of cane furniture, potted palms and decorative items to evoke the period that the painter Matisse so much used in his drawings and paintings. The participants will have the opportunity to draw inspiration from this set-up to do many working drawings, take photographs and compose different works, both in abstract and contemporary realism. All mediums will be able to be used. On the second Saturday, participants will be encourage to finish some of their works without the model present but using their previous gleaned information. The class is limited to 15 people.
